michaelcole Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 Cupsd will not start what so ever i get a error 128; and if i run any command starting with the lp i get symbol errors. lp: symbol lookup error: lp: undefined symbol: _cupsLangPrintf lpstat: symbol lookup error: lpstat: undefined symbol: _cupsLangPrintf So now i cant print i used to be able to two weeks ago. I have upgraded the RPM's Since then so must be something in the cooker area.. Removed CUPS and Reinstalled cups same problem.. Any ideas? tyme Posted February 17, 2006 Report Share Posted February 17, 2006 sounds like a bug, you might be best off filing it at qa.mandrivalinux.com - i tried searching for similar bugs but couldn't find any. you could try doing a rpm -Uvh --force of the most recent libcups. michaelcole Posted February 21, 2006 Author Report Share Posted February 21, 2006 Ok tried every thing there is a conflict in the upgrade process i downloaded libcups2-1.2.0-0.5130.1mdk manually then did the below items [root@Mcole Desktop]# rpm -iv --force libcups2* Preparing packages for installation... libcups2-1.2.0-0.5130.1mdk [root@Mcole Desktop]# service cups start Starting CUPS printing system: [ OK ] Now i can print..
