scarecrow
Thac is here He has 0.9.8 under MDV 2006, as well as winetools. Get the src.rpm thing, rebuild, and good luck...
eroica
sorry for the stupid question but the rpm on thac's site is only 250k, whereas @ winehq site is 13Mb. I assume I have to do something to this rpm, that's its not simply rpm -ivh wine*.rpm and I have wine installed...
scarecrow
wine on Thac site is only 250K, because after the build there's also libwine1 (8.4MB) and libwine1-devel (not needed). To install them you should add the Thac repo to your urpmi config. But this will most likely fail, or ask installing one ton of RPM's. I suggested grabbing the src.rpm: http://www.mde.djura.org/2006.0/SRPMS/ and then, from a root shell: rpm --rebuild wine*.src.rpm (building from a non-root shell is a better choice, but it needs some work to be done before). This has fair chances to work, but you'll need to have "rpmbuild" pus a few devel packages installed. I had originally run wine tools w/drive_c directory in place and got the winetools window w/a bunch of lines starting with ~ but nothing happened when i clicked any of the boxes. i also got a warning on startup about not having xdialog installed so wouldnt get any intnl input or something to that affect. I put the drive_c folder back but still get no window now and the above message. When i ran wt212 from command line i got the window i talked about above( see attachment for a snapshot). Do u have any idea where I should go from here thanx... Edited February 23, 2006 by eroica
