I was wondering if there is a way to get around how mandrake only lets you share folders in your home directory. I am using LE 2005 and I want to be able to share my web server folder (/var/www/html) so that I can edit my site from another computer. If anyone can give me some help I would appreciate it. Thanks.

you can share it via samba if you plan to access it from a windows or linux box, or you can share it via nfs and access/mount it in you linux box.

.

for samba, check this thread

https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=16737

that's under FAQ or try to browse the FAQ for more

.

another way, you can access it from remote pc if you enable ssh-server on that Box, then edit files via command line. If from windows, you can install putty then ssh to that host, if from linux, you can ssh on it from your linux console or you can open your konqueror and just type "sftp://ip-of-that-host" (w/out quotes) and it'll prompt for a username and password to access it
