Dustpuppy
Given that the firefox history etc has been wiped, is there any way to recover a complete list of all websites that my desktop 1 (see sig) has accessed in the last few days? I'm connected via eth0 to a netgear router that only logs security breaches as far as I can see. ETA: I just need the sites that it's accessed under Mandriva, not XP as well. ianw1974
I would have to guess at probably not. If you had a proxy server running on your machine, this would log each website you visited in it's access.log file (if using squid), but I'm pretty sure that on a normal system, visited sites aren't logged in any of the standard log files. scarecrow
Unless you use a specific FF extension which makes periodic backups of the browser settings/bookmarks/cookies/history, it shouldn't be possible. Actually a harddisk forensic tool should most probably undig the deleted data (as the only data which can be considered permanently deleted are the "shredded" ones), but don't ask me "which" and "how", I simply don't know...
