dexter11
I don't know if it's really belongs here but I don't know a better place. Anyway.. some of you maybe noticed that the German Mandriva fansite has released a new easyurpmi-like webpage called smart-urpmi. The main differences are that you can see when the mirrors were updated and in the end it is able to save a script instead of the usual copy-paste (though it's still available) so it's more user-friendly. German only but the source is available of course. [moved from Workbench by spinynorman]
devries
Very nice. This is really better than easy-urpmi.
ianw1974
Shame it only lists german or austrian mirrors. Looks neat though!
solarian
last updated feature is really nice, but I'm suspicious that that script would take more time for me than the good old copy/paste
ianw1974
I normally copy the contents into a file I'm creating with vi, write it, chmod +x on the file, and then ./filename to run it. Similar sort of process, just a bit more manual.
solarian
I have Konsole always open and among others - one root session, so copy/paste is actually the fastest way for me. But anyway, I do it so rarely that even if MUB goes the script only way, it won't mean anything much,
scarecrow
I never found something wrong with copypasting ( via shift+ins ) to the root xterm from the browser...
