Success with belkin PCMCIA Wifi card

I bought this as PC World were doing them on special for 15GBP.

plugged the card in to a spare PCMCIA slot, and asked the Config Centre to look for new hardware. found the card OK, and installed the chipset drivers for it.

I then went through the config screens with details of my wifi network, bit it wouldn't play.

 

then I tried the win driver with the ndis wrapper. Bingo! a happy connected laptop.

 

One intersting point. I got a download speed og 495k/sec on the laptop (cel500/128Mb), as against a mak of 280 on my Win XP box (P4/2.6Ghz 768Mb)
