Gowator
I updated Breezy and lost my ability to read CF's through the USB attached 6 in 1 reader. It no longer makes an icon or even creates a device in /dev when I insert a card.
arctic
I know that some updates wrecked things in Ubuntu before (e.g. firefox being unable to download, sound not working anymore etc...) and bugs were submitted quite fast, so a look in bugzilla might be worthy. Is the card reader still recognized or is it completely "dead" in Ubuntu?
scarecrow
Maybe your udev rules were overwritten? Which udev version are you using currently?

arctic
There is no real option to "go back" in Ubuntu. Either hack the udev package manually or wait for a bugfix or try to force an install of the udev package that is on the ubuntu install cd. These are the three options you have imho. I think forcing an install of the debian udev might break the box though.

scarecrow
0.060? this is either something way old, or something Ubuntu-specific... In my system (Arch Linux current) I get: [root@desktop ~]# pacman -Q udev udev 079-1 Since version 0.78 udev has rendered hotplug obsolete, so it has to be disabled (Mandrake Cooker has gone the same root, as well). Do you have any custom udev rules, or just the ones autogenerated by your latest udev installation?
Gowator
Just last generated and its a ubuntu specific version I guess. Im currently resinatalling Ubuntu 5.01 and kubuntu stuff though
