johnnyv
also I thought mplayer ghad a GUI front end as I see messages about skins Is it only command line How did you install it? all i do is setup my urpmi sources (with plf, texstar, etc) then do: su urpmi mplayer iit will ask if you want to install a list of packages so type y might say signatures for plf rpms are bad install anyway. Then to use mplayer there should be a link under "multimedia -> video -> mplayer" on your kde start application menu(if your using kde of course). for most movie files right click on the file in a file manager and open with mplayer. sometimes you have to add the file associations via "edit file type" on the rightclick menu.
