Problems with ndiswrapper in gentoo

ok so i had trouble getting the thing to compile (emerge).... but... i did, (i had to reccompile my kernel, changing a few options) so i did and it compiled fine....

so i try to do ndiswrapper -i:

now i dont know if some of those entrys are from where before i had issues getting it to modprobe..... (befor i recompiled my kernel) and i dont know what all that stuff about Forcing paramater is,....

 

but here is some more information

it is a wmp54g card...

i after i do this i do not see the line in dmesg that says

wlan0: ndiswrapper ethernet device xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx

 

please help :!: :furious3:

What did you do during installation, when it first failed to compile? Did you remove it, and then reinstall, eg, using the commands below?

 

emerge --unmerge ndiswrapper (to remove)
emerge ndiswrapper (to install again after kernel recompile)

 

if not, suggest doing that in case the existing install is missing something. Also, after that, have you followed the ndiswrapper install guides, which are really good:

this will help when relating to commands to get ndiswrapper working after the emerge.
