mystified
I'm in Mandrake 10.1 and I'm compiling something for Gentoo in a chroot environment. And I keep getting this message: Kwrited - Listening on Device /dev/pts0 Message from syslogd@localhost at Wed Nov 30 11:40:18 2005 ... localhost kernel: CPU1: Temperature above threshold Message from syslogd@localhost at Wed Nov 30 11:40:18 2005 ... localhost kernel: CPU1: Running in modulated clock mode Now of course being a Gentoo user I compile all the time in Gentoo and I monitor my cpu temperature and it never gets too hot. The only processes running besides the normal Mandrake ones are gaim and xchat. I ran top and couldn't find anything consuming a lot of my cpu except my compiling. So wth is going on here? It's very annoying!
Saddletramp
been searching an answer to this for a couple days now as i have 1 machine that gets this also. never had an issue in windows. i know for a fact, this is not any type of something physically heating up inside the box issue.
