Guest uhh
By starting 2006-Live-Free from CD it all OK until "Starting Display Manager - OK". After that computer freezes and on screen appears only some colored riffle, seems as syncronisation problem. Monitor is 22-inch MultiSync FE1250+ Videocard is nVidia Riva TNT2 What can I do? scarecrow
Hit alt+ctrl+backspace a few times, so the liveCd will probe for another resolution/refresh rate. If it doesn't work still, reboot and try a cheat code like "vga=vesa".
Guest uhh
Hitting ctrl+alt+bckspace didn't help, nothing changed. How i can cheat code like "vga=vesa"? Where? Maybe something other more tips i can try?
scarecrow
When you liveCD initially loads, hit escape and then type in linux vga=vesa and then hit enter. You can also try linux vga=fbdev Not sure if the kernelname is "linux" or "vmlinuz", I guess it's the first one (since it's Mandriva). Guest uhh
vmlinuz vga=vesa and vmlinuz vga=fbdev both gave result: Kernel panic -not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount root fs on unknown - block (9,0)
