Guest mdrvusr
Hi, I wanted to make the changes permanently but don't know how on Mandriva. After changing the network driver to e100 from eepro100 my network works fine, but upon reboot, the system will go back to load eepro100. Questions is how do I make this changes permanent? I have tried adding to /etc/modules.conf # alias eth0 e100 That didn't help. Any help is greatly appreciated. MU
pmpatrick
Try editing /etc/modprobe.conf instead.

Guest mdrvusr
Try editing /etc/modprobe.conf instead. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> That did the trick for Mandriva 2006. editing /etc/modules.conf worked on Mandrake 9.2 but not Mandriva 2006. Thank you very much for the help. MU
