phpmyadmin not working since I installed 2006

i just installed mysql but it still does not work.

 

when i type what you told me in root console, i have this message :

 

Cannot find mysql service

 

i checked and it is installed.

 

When i looked in services in MCC, i don't have any mysql service, but i have mysqld service.

 

When i try to type : service mysqld, i have this in reply :

 

mysqld (pid 12759) is running...

 

But still, when i try to get to phpmyadmin, it still does not work. it stil telll me :

i tried once again to replace http by config in auth_type but then i have this error :

 

phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in config.inc.php and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server.
