How can one set the access permissions of /dev/net/tun accross reboots?

I've changed the "tun" entry in /etc/udev/rules.d/50-mdk.rules to read like this:

KERNEL="tun",                                   SYMLINK="net/%k",  MODE="0666"

But the permission is 0600 after reboot nevertheless.
