Guest lucy Posted October 30, 2005 Report Share Posted October 30, 2005 I downloaded 2006 rc2 iso's from my local ftp server When i boot from the 1st disc i get to choose the language accept the license and when it loads the nvidia kc804 serial ata driver it stops (comes back half an hour later with unable to load sata-nv or something) I remember having the same problem with 2005 version but there i just hit F1 entered 'linux noapic' and it worked. if i do the same now (2006 rc2) setup doesn't even detect a hard disk. Its a asus A8n-sli board with 2 x 250 GB maxtor sata discs (the bios raid is not enabled at the moment cause that didn't work with 2005) [moved from Installing Mandriva by spinynorman - welcome aboard :)] Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
