satelliteuser083
I was under the impression that Linux (LE 2005) could write to a Windows partition in the approp. form (in my case Win 2k Pro using FAT32). However, when I try it, the write works - at least the file appears in the Windows partition in Konqueror, and Explorer sees it following Windows boot - but the file cannot be read. I simply dragged and dropped (copied) the file into the Windows partition; perhaps this is the wrong method. Any tips? satelliteuser083
Just an attempt to resurrect this topic, since I still need occasionally to export stuff to Windoz, however looked-down-on that may be :o
Ixthusdan
What type of file are you looking at? Most graphics files work fine for me. Document files are harry for windows, but after it complains it opens them just fine. Details?
scarecrow
How large is that FAT32 partition?

Ixthusdan
Really, please be specific. Specifically tell us the name of the file and what happens when. The reason this helps is when we try to duplicate the problem, we can find a fix, or tell what we do. I presently can't duplicate the issue with the given facts.
