Counterspy
Are you using the 3.1-4 versions of the kdebase files and the kdelib files? I cannot reproduce those errors. Counterspy
manly
Yes, I am. Everything is with the most updated versions. Also, if I log in as a different user, it works fine (different .kde directories). Andrew
Guest ndeb
Try the latest 3.1-5tex rpms. Also, clean out ur ~/.kde, ~/.kderc and ~/Desktop dirs and see if that makes a difference.
manly
I found out the culprit! It was MenuDrake. I upgraded to the latest (-5) rpms, and killed my prefs directories. The first thing I did was run MenuDrake, and when it was done, the problems I mentioned above started again. So, who do I report this to? Texstar, someone at Mandrake, etc. I don't know much about the MenuDrake configs, but is there something to look for that would cause this problem? Also, I know that rpmdrake will sometimes update the menus. Is there a way to stop that until I can find a solution (other than not installing anything ;-)? Guest ndeb
kdebase 3.1-6tex rpms are out in ftp://ftp.ibiblio.org/pub/Linux/distribut...ake/9.0/KDE-3.
arriagga
i'm using tex's kde3.1 (kdebase3.1-6) but it still freezes all the time. i've been using mandrake for almost 2 years, but the problems with kde3.1 got me really tired. i did reinstall mandrake9 3 times (from kde3.1 rc3 to rc6) 'cuz i thought it was better that way. my KDE3.1 FREEZES & CRASHES ALL THE TIME what can i do? go back to rc6? (which i think it's the best) :x :x :x Thanks
