I had a similar problem, what I did was to copy my old 2005-SE settings in xorg.conf and copy the old el in to /etc/X11/xkb/system/pc

e.g.

Section "InputDevice"

Identifier "Keyboard1"

Driver "keyboard"

Option "XkbModel" "pc105"

Option "XkbLayout" "us,el(extended)"

Option "XkbOptions" "grp:shift_toggle,grp_led:scroll,compose:rwin"

EndSection

The news of thac's return is very encouraging!

Regarding the inclusion of proprietory sis drivers is there any chance that they would provide 3d support to sis-661 chips?

Where does one get those drivers from?

Thanks and a huge welcome back to Thac.

A.
