epretorious
I just changed from KDE to GNOME and can not figure out how to run SUID programs (e.g., ethereal) in GNOME. Previously - using a different distro - I had used gnomesu (Novell -> Run Application -> gnomesu) but that doesn't seem to work in 10.1. How does one start SUID programs in GNOME? epretorious
Thanks again, Norm! BTW: Do you have any idea why gnomesu wasn't installed by default?
spinynorman
Probably because KDE is their preferred desktop and they want to avoid duplication - they do include kdesu.
