blackhat101
So is tomorrow the day for the release of 2006 stable? If so when will the mirrors get it? and Which mirrors (maybe list a couple) will have it? [moved from Talk-Talk by spinynorman]
jboy
According to this, the ISOs will be available to Club members and contributors tomorrow (Thursday 06-Oct-05): http://qa.mandriva.com/twiki/bin/view/Main/MandrivaLinux2006 Adam Williamson confirmed this today in a post here: http://club.mandriva.com/xwiki/bin/view/Ch...DiscoveryLX2006 As far as which mirrors, I dunno since I'm not a Club member, but the Club website will undoubtedly have that info once they're available. Note that the public release date is 26-Oct-05.
Reiver_Fluffi
The majority of the mirrors should have it, but like jboy said this is a club thing, and the mirrors are guaranteed to choke, that's why the club have got several guys to seed for bittorrent well in advance! Like jboy said, public release isn't until 26th October, i believe box sets will be available from the 10th, I think! As much as there is bad karma between me an the club right now, i'll still be getting the iso's tomorrow, providing nothing screws up, well it is Mandy were talking about! ramfree17
i am extended in my assignment duration so i will just wait for the torrent to be released to the public. that way i can get it faster and contribute as well. i hope 2006 has better support for my wireless card. i still havent figured out a way to replace the prism54 module with ndiswrapper. modprobing ndiswrapper doesnt show anything... oh well that is for another thread. ciao! Artificial Intelligence
The only problem is that iit's impossible to get though for silver members. 1 k/sec for a half an hour? Redicules ...and you request for a ftp/http download it reject the password given in the E-mail that they send you Edit: Nevermind I found out how to tweak to get the through torrent in a haste. Edit: Edit: Crap there blew the good conection

aRTee
I'm downloading slowly but surely... around 100KB/s, not too bad. There's also a new Live CD called Discovery Live. Time to replace Move I guess.. ;) Looks like some nice times ahead, I hope Mdv 2006 rocks the way it should!
foot
Downloading it now (would use torrents, but the transparent ones aren't up). Feeling quite excited that I'll have it in a few hours. Getting excited over an operating system - sad eh :P
