the linux version of opera isn't that different than it's windows counterpart...why in the name of zues would you run it under wine??? :screwy:

Try smooth scrolling, it doesnt work in linux it does work under wine

and to go back to windows because of a web browser? :screwy: :screwy:

I mostly surf the internet, everything runs more smoothly under Linux....except Opera

that's it? that's all you got? smooth scrolling? :o

looks like you've already brought it to their attention, and a dev has already said they plan to fix it.

yes, with or without it makes for nasty, tiresome, effect right now and as you can read I have made the request quite a while back but others have been making the request even longer ago.

(dont you just love googling trails :P )

actually i googled:
opera smooth scrolling linux

it was the first result :D

Any result would have given me :P , there are dozens of threads in the *nix and mac subforums, they all got 4-5 replies before dying out, it took months of bumbing my thread, official bug reports before any one a bit official confirmed.

For some strange reason, the last year or so, if you come to the Opera forum with a non-faq problem the more prolific posters seem to jump in and try to refute the problem rather tha helping  I feel many bugs have crept in but still cant find an alternative I am comfertable with.
