Guest dalegabs
I have an AC 97 onboard sound card. For some reasons most of the times I do not get any sound from my pc, and sometimes when there is some sound it loops for a while which seems like an echo or something. scarecrow
Two possible solutions: 1. Run "kcontrol" and there on the sound group set Artsd to run with realtime priority. 2. Disable Artd alltogether, and use a soft mixer like dmix. Rather lengthy to explain, but it does work, and if you can cope with it it's preferrable than using the buggy and semi-obsolete Arts daemon. PS: You should also disable "PnP OS" within your BIOS settings. Edited September 1, 2005 by scarecrow
