But when I try to install mandriva it just freeze. it not at a specific point it freeze it just happens at the beginning.

when I try to install in text mode it stops when it says

Try also adding some other switches: nolapic, dma=off. I would suggest turning off all the power saving features in the bios. You can reset all of it after you have a running system.

try all 3 now. both noapic nolapic and dma=off. non of them work, still the same problem. can I type all 3 of them in the same comand line like "linux noapic nolapic dma=off" ? also tryed that but dit not work ether.

I tryed to look in the bios for some power saving features but could not find any thing.

what els can I do els?

Are you using the sata or standard ide?

Is your ram installed in the correct configuration for dual channel operation?

If you are not using raid or sata, is it off in the bios?

I have mandrake on my ide disk.

and my ram are sat to dual in the bios.

I am not using raid and that is off in bios also. but I do use the sata disk because i run winXP on my sata drive.

what really confusses me is that I can install the 64-bit version with no problem. it's only the 32-bit that gives me trubble. I also tryed downloading Mandriva 2006 beta 0.3 and the exact same happend.

thx for helping :D

Try turning the sata drive off for the install. The boot loader can be easily edited later. Sometimes sata with ide installs are troublesome.
