osakasan
I would like to know how come when I install a program I don't get any icon on the Desktop that represents the program (i.e. Acrobat & Realplayer)
heather1113
you can make one it's easy just right click on the desktop -> create new -> link to application -> Type in the name of the application and click on the icon button to the left of it to create the icon then click on application tab and where it says command type in the location of the executable usually it's usr/bin/nameofapplication all lowercase then click ok and you're done. arctic
You can also drag and drop an icon from the KDE or Gnome menu to the desktop. It' way faster. ;)
