Despite the challenges, he maintains an unwavering conviction that his company can deliver better returns than those offered by open-source software.

he is expected to say such things. otherwise microsoft will fire him sooner or later.

According to Taylor, businesses that tried out Linux or other open-source tools are now realizing that they are putting in more investment into the technology than they had initially thought.

yeah... this is why the university of hamburg switched from debian to gentoo and skipped the microsoft offer. ;)

every two to four weeks microsoft places such nonsense articles. i don't care about their shouting anymore. it is always the same tenor. linux is bad, costs a lot and is not innovative and has migration problems and blablabla...

It really amazes me how MS continues to say the absurd. But, if it gets repeated often enough, someone is bound to believe it.

My favorite:

Well, first you have to define "people" because I can tell you that most IT professionals don't want to be in the business of maintaining system-level software.

Yeah, they'd rather explain for the millionth time why the Word file attached to your email won't open! :lol2: I guess by "people" he means the guys running around the office thinking they're God because they have a MCSE certificate. More propaganda from the MS spin doctors.
