AussieJohn
Can I ask you what would be the advantage of using gedit instead of kwrite ???. Don´t they do the same thing ???. To change you will need to open KDE Control Centre -------> Components --------------> File associations ----------> text ---------> plain ----------> ADD. When you have selected and added gedit then you must move it to the top of the list if it is not already in that position. Click Apply. Cheers. John. thinhla
Thanks for the tip. Great that's what I want. It's not that i don't like Kwrite over Gedit. They all the same to me when it comes to editing. The beep is that Kwrite is a little annoying. Everytime I open a file, it opens up a window and checking somehing before it loads the acutall file. This bogs me down when I am in a little hurry. Besides, I type gedit command faster than I type kwrite. Hehehhe....
