My wife has joined a group on msn chat, but is unable to get into it with mandrake. it comes up saying that the operating system isnt supported and we must use ie. so i tried the trick in opera of altering the ua.ini file to tell the website that we were using xp and ie6, but it still doesnt work, even though it did work for a problem i had getting into internet banking.

just wondering if anyone has overcome this problem and if so, how?

not sure if it might be something like activex instead of being a java issue, of which i have very little knowledge currently.....

thanks for any help that can be offered,

might be an idea to give that a try a bit later, not quite a priority atm, but after about 3 months of running linux, i am on the whole quite happy about it, but i think i need to do a clean install again, as i seem to have quite a problem getting rpms to work atm due to dependencies not working out, even though the list of rpms is quite ok for some stuff.

go the penguin,
