Edd
Is it possible to automatically install windows system fonts on Linux so that most web site's fonts display correctly? Or is there somewhere I can download the main fonts for the web for Linux? Thanks :) [moved from Software by spinynorman] Edited June 27, 2005 by Edd
ianw1974
Check this link: https://mandrivausers.org/index.php?showtopic=25843&hl=fonts I used this when I installed my Windows fonts, I just copied them over into the necessary directory, and checked that the /etc/X11R6/fs/config file knew where to find them. If you check this file first, you'll see where the existing TTF fonts are, and then just copy the Windows fonts into here. Personally, I don't use the Windows fonts, as it looked even odder than it does with the standard Linux fonts. But see how you get on, you might like it :P
Edd
Sorted, thanks a lot. Just had to copy them in - I was expecting something a bit more involved? Thanks!
