Cedega Video Problem [kind of solved]

Recommended Posts

Installed Call of Duty OK. When I issue the following command:

cedega CoDSP.exe

it starts to run through everything, and then fails with:

----- CL_Shutdown -----

RE_Shutdown( 1 )

Shutting down OpenGL subsystem

...wglMakeCurrent( NULL, NULL ): failed

...deleting GL context: success

...releasing DC: success

...destroying window

...resetting display

...shutting down QGL

...unloading OpenGL DLL

-----------------------

Hunk_Clear: reset the hunk ok

Your video card appears to be missing one or more features required to run Call of Duty.

It says I should have the latest drivers for my video card installed, of which I have. I've never had problems running the game within Windows, so not sure as to why I can't get it to work with cedega.

Any ideas on what I can do to sort it out? Is there something I need to configure somewhere? Am running cedega 4.3.2.

Am running an Intel Extreme 82852/82855 with the latest drivers on Linux, and no problems with OpenGL or anything, but for some reason still can't run the game.

Works fine if I was to use it on Windows though. Any ideas on whether I need to patch the game, or run a config app or edit it to get it to work?

Cool, OK. I did have a look on the transgaming.org website, but couldn't find anything relevant. Might have to resign to using Windows for it! :P

I'll have a dig around see if I can find anything on the cedega wiki you mentioned.
