Ghil Vertefeuille
I'm using MDK 2005, with gnome 2.8 and want to know how to change the MDK star next to applications, in the menu. How can I do that?
bvc
/usr/share/pixmaps/mdk/mandrake.png for the main menu but I d/k if that changes the menubar or not but I don't think that is what you are asking now that I think about it hmmm..... /usr/share/icons/??? look at all of the menu specific icons there ;) Edited June 10, 2005 by bvc
arctic
not 100% sure but the could also be located in /usr/share/icons.... gotta boot up my mandriva box in order to verify that. will do it tomorrow. need some sleep.

Jet2k5
hmm stupid person in #mandrake once told me that the icon was hard compiled and thus was not removeable. Fruits
Jet2k5
btw in ubuntu which is the one that is has the " Applications Places System" , and where is it? I have an ugly foot there right now, that looks like it's got a really bad rash. I want to change that little fungus feeding foot for a nice ubuntu small logo like the one artic has on his sig. Lowe
How dare you insult the gnome foot! :o I will never replace that cute little foot.
solarian
I removed the start menu icon (I had a green "K" before). I like the right-click on dekstop approach to access my main menu. And due to my desktop setup I always have a small field of desktop not covered by windows. -screenshot- Edited June 11, 2005 by solarian
Lowe
Solarian i still think your desktop is the first good looking KDE desktop i have ever seen.
