k6h
Help me! Installed latest nvidia driver (1.0-7664) using command nvidia-installer --update. Enabled Option "Coolbits" "1" ******************************************************** Section "Device" Identifier "device1" VendorName "nVidia Corp." BoardName "NVIDIA GeForce FX (generic)" Driver "nvidia" Option "DPMS" Option "NoLogo" "1" Option "ConnectedMonitor" "CRT" Option "Coolbits" "1" EndSection ******************************************************** And so far I don't see overclocking thing in nvidia-settings (being honest with you I don't need to overclock my graphics card, but you know... new things are exciting) [moved from Software by spinynorman]

rolf
Do you have this package? It's on my CD5, maybe it would be in an ftp 'main' source. This is from 2005 Club 6 CD download: [root@localhost rolf]# urpmf libXv.so.1 XFree86-compat-libs:/usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1 XFree86-compat-libs:/usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1.0 [root@localhost rolf]# urpmq --sources XFree86-compat-libs file://mnt/hd//media/main5/XFree86-compat-libs-4.1.0-4mdk.i586.rpm

If so, how? (newb) I installed the new 1.0-7664 drivers and it cleared up a couple of problems I was having with the newest doom3 linux patch and Americas Army under 10.2. Both had worked perfectly on 10.1. Thanks
rolf
[root@comp3_229 ********]# urpmf libXv.so.1 XFree86-compat-libs:/usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1 XFree86-compat-libs:/usr/X11R6/lib/libXv.so.1.0 <{POST_SNAPBACK}> OK, urpmi knows about this package. Is it installed? $ rpm -q XFree86-compat-libs If not, did you try installing it? # urpmi XFree86-compat-libs
