Hi !!

I let install second WD hd 120gb and I looked into it and just have 111 gb free space.

Where is all those rest of 9 gb?

My first is as master 60 gb hard drive slave 120gb hd.

Thank you for your big help.

Ciao mike01

Note that most hard-drive manufacturers use 1GB = 1 billion (10^9), while in the binary world, 1GB = 1024^3 B. So your 120GB drive actually has 120 billion bytes, which can show up as 120/(1.024^3) = 111.7587 GB when u run the command df.

U can run df -B <SIZE> where:

SIZE may be (or may be an integer optionally followed by) one of following:

kB 1000, K 1024, MB 1,000,000, M 1,048,576, and so on for G, T, P, E, Z, Y.
