Guest zeframcochrane
Hello everyone, I was looking on the Mandriva website and I could not find anywhere where I can download the ISO for Mandriva for free. Does that mean that now whoever want's to install Mandriva will have to first join the club (basically pay) and then get access to Mandriva? Please confirm. Guest anon
Welcome to the board. Yes, its still free. Go here: http://www1.mandrivalinux.com/en/ftp.php3 and in the bottom right hand section called "Download from public FTP mirrors" you will see a link to download the 2005 latest version. That link takes you to another site where you can select your favourite or nearest mirror site.

Guest zeframcochrane
Thanks for the responses everyone! The greatest thing about Linux is that it is free and that other people can come in and modify the system from the ground up. And I was happy to hear from all of you that Mandriva Linux will be free. I have installed Mandrake 10.0 and instantly fallen in love with it. I was using SUSE Linux 7.0 before I installed Mandrake but I believe from now on it shall be Mandrake Linux for me. I love Linux Once again, thanks everyone!
