Using MDK 10.1OE and ndswrapper 0.8 I installed the windows drivers

bcmwl5a - HARDWARE PRESENT

bcmwla5.sys - HARDWARE NOT PRESENT

net2pg54 - HARDWARE PRESENT

The trouble is, when I run iwconfig (I have wireless-tools installed) I never get anything remotely close to wlan0. All I get is this stuff:

lo

eth0

eth1

eth2

sit0

^All of these have "no wireless extensions".

Does anybody know where I'm going wrong? I need to get wlan0 to appear in the iwconfig to proceed any further. Do you need my modprobe.conf?

the last lines of modprobe.conf read:

alias wlan0 ndiswrapper

install ndiswrapper /sbin/modprobe --ignore-install ndiswrapper && {loadndisdriver 14e4 4320 /etc/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5a.sys /etc/ndiswrapper/bcmwl5a.inf;}

Any help is surely appreciated!
