VeeDubb Posted May 6, 2005 Report Share Posted May 6, 2005 Well, I can 't give you specifics without knowing your motherboard, and probably wouldn't know even then, but you need to disable the built in card in your bios. Usualy, when you boot, there is a prompt that will say "press f1 to enter setup" Or delete or f11 or esc or some other key. Hit that key and poke around untill you find the option to disable your built in sound. It's there somewhere. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Smorgje Posted May 6, 2005 Report Share Posted May 6, 2005 But doesn't your harddrake detect 2 different sound-cards? If you have your onboard enabled AND a PCI built in your PC, harddrake should detect both. If it now only detects the onboard correctly, you might have problems when you disable that one, because harddrake might not find your PCI card at all. And you should be able to tell harddrake which soundcard to use as primary too (I think, I never had 2 soundcards in one system).
