aRTee
Well, my bittorrent is steadily climbing since I started it 30 mins ago to 100KB/s at this moment. Should be there tomorrow morning. Whoops, checking again, seems it's moved up to 150KB/s. Good to have MDV2005LE final, I have a new server, a PIII 800 that's been waiting to replace my old server (PII 350, uptime as we speak: 445 days)... solarian
An unrelated (sort of!) question. For how long will 10.1 continue to be supported (as official updates)? I want to skip out 10.2, because I have perfectionised 10.1 for my needs as it is now. Edited April 14, 2005 by solarian
adamw
at least until 2006 comes out.

Yay! (Yes I sincerely seriously wanted that.)

adamw
darkelve: not running XBox stuff on Linux, running Linux on XBox :). You can install 2005 on an XBox, to use it as an HTPC or whatever.

VeeDubb
For folks like me that have chosen for one reason or another, to not join the mandrake club, if you want CD's or a DVD now, head to http://www.cheapbytes.com The have for sale, all of the following. 2CDmini-install 4 CD standard 6 (4+2contrib) CD set 9CD major set (Includes the 2cd mini, the 4+2, and a CD of commercial drivers) Buy the 9CD major and get a free Tshirt DVD I believe this to be equivilant to the 6CD set with commercial drivers, but I'm not certain. AMD64 users, sorry, I didn't see one for you.
adamw
I hope they're only distributing the non-free drivers etc. that are freely redistributable according to the license terms...it'd be a good idea for them to have a 'legal info' page, I think :) btw, the other way for non-Club members to get at 2005 is to do a network install from an FTP site. Or you could just mirror an entire FTP site and generate your own CDs, if you're feeling adventurous ;)
VeeDubb
I have no idea what version they are offering, but they've been selling mandrake CD's the day after release since before the club was created. I'm sure if they were illegaly re-distributing something, they'd have been stopped by now.

Or you could just mirror an entire FTP site and generate your own CDs, if you're feeling adventurous ;) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> I was planning to do that (mirror the FTP site, at least just the A64 tree and burn it into a DVD). However, it seems that the x86_64 tree for 2005 is not up yet on official. It is still in devel tree and looking at the dates, it was updated 2 days ago. Is the x86_64 version still in development or the one in the devel is actually official?
VeeDubb
Tha may well be why cheapbytes didn't have a 64 bit version yet
