jeanrev
My laptop Compaq Armada 100S can only accept mandrake 9.1 installed I have tried newer MDK versions without any success, also Suse, ubuntu, knoppix, Beatrix, mepis, aurox etc... my question : can I install a better version of openoffice ? if Yes, How do I do it ? should I remove the OO 1.0 first ? help please, I don't want to throw my laptop away with the 128 Mo RAM... everything works fine
Gowator
You can update OO but it will be expensive. I bought my extra 256MB RAM for my laptop really cheap and it makes a huge difference especially in OO.
Havin_it
Yeah, no need to throw away the machine. Just eBay the two 64Mb RAM cards, and get 2x 128's.
jeanrev
OO.org 1.1 is better & faster than OO.1.0 the question is still there : can I install OO.1.1 on MDK 9.1 without problems ? In this case, should I uninstall OO.1.0 first ? the last openoffice is more userfriendly than the first issue
