Windows doesn't need to be in the first partition, it justs needs to think it is.. I don't know the specifics, but you can tell lilo, when booting the windows partitions to make it C: After booting, windows will exist on C: (as far as it is concerned) Optionally, you could always get another hard drive and put windows on that? (safer?) <{POST_SNAPBACK}> no I still have Win 98. It's on hda1, then I have a little /boot partition (hda5 I think I'm not on the box now) then a huge FAT32 partition (hda6) for datas.
