do you have another distro for testing, e.g. a live-cd like knoppix or slax?

 

have you already done the firefox-thing, disabling ipv6 in its about:config? if i remember well, you told that you haven't done that yet. if this is the case, no wonder you do not see any webpage.

 

also please post again the contents of your /etc/sysconfig/networkscripts/ifcfg-eth0 file.

 

do not give up hope. we will get that baby working....

viper beat me to it. I fixed a similar problem with the /etc/resolv.conf file.

As far as I know I did do that back then and it still didnt work so dont call me an idiot. ;) :P
