i can't install realtek 8139...i could without any problem with the 10.0...it's only a latest version issue...if i try to install from control center linux freezes :evilmod:

i couldn't install automatically with installation because otherwise linux wouldn't have boot up on start!!i formatted and installed many times before realizing that card was the problem

HERE THEY SAY THERE IS NO PROBLEM....!!!LIER

i can't do that, i'm on a laptop,...

i understood the problem is in wlan & realtek drivers, so i gotta work on that....who promise me in the 10.2 the problem does not exist?

Why not.....?

Have you checked the bios settings.....

bootp is the thing where you are meant to be able to boot diskless and a bootrom is on the card. My 8139too is on a shuttle and I can't turn it off completely either but I can disable the boot rom and this seems to prevent other probs.

At least investigate if its turned on in the bios?

You might find it will work with the wireless once its had the boot rom diabled?
