I was curious if anyone here has any idea is the Mandrake 10.1 Powerpack that included the "non-free ati and nvidia" drivers will work with a radeon mobility 9700 pro and be able to achieve 3d acceleration.. I tried suse 9.1 professional then 9.2 and with no luck getting 3d accel enabled I hoped mandrake's powerpack will solve my issue, although I noticed new ati drivers were just released 1/16/05 so I don't even know if those will work in MDK10.1 yet.. My other concern floating in my mind was the fact that my laptop is 64 bit and 64bit drivers have no 3d accel from ati at all but for some reason i see people have the same video card and have gotten it to work but no 64 bit chip or they don't specify or some people have a 64 bit chip but a radeon that isnt a mobility version.. can anyone clarify if 64 bit and ati 9700 mobility will work? I just purchased the i386 version of 10.1 powerpack so I don't think I can go wrong.. and do the newly released drivers work with MDK 10.1? Thanks
