coverup Posted February 7, 2005 Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 I don't know this particular piece of equipment, but in general, look for a setting Disable SSID broadcast to disable... well SSID broadcast. If you're using DHCP server on the router, it will continue assigning IP addresses to any computer which is able to authenticate with the router. If you don't want that functionality, turn off the DHCP server on the router, and configure all PCs on your LAN to use static IP addresses. Dustpuppy Posted February 7, 2005 Author Report Share Posted February 7, 2005 Sorry, that was a really badly phrased question :slaps self around head with fish: I'm not using the wireless bit of the router, what I want is to mask my IP address to other people on the net.
