kmack
Just got an email from Linux Questions website. Usually a quick delete, but read this one. They have a new radio broadcast at LQRadio . Interesting concept! :P

iphitus
the linux questions radio is a Podcast :D which I posted about a few weeks ago - and was totally ignored. theres a few other linux podcasts, including: The Linux Link Tech Show http://www.thelinuxlink.net/tllts/ Linux Box http://www.thelinuxbox.org/show.php LugRadio http://www.lugradio.org/ Linux Log http://linux.quicksurf.com/index.php At the moment im writing a Podcasting aggregator, which will make it really easy to get your podcasts and listen to them :)

iphitus
errgh, spinynorman: hardly the best post to use to promote podcasting. besides didnt I say above that I had posted? who would ever think to read the thread and consider using the search function.... here it is :) http://mandrakeusers.org/index.php?showtopic=21360&hl= podcasting is almost like an audio blog, your podcasting aggregator downloads the rss feed, and takes the mp3s from the links within. Except it's used for more than blogs, there are radio shows, casts promoting new music groups, all sorts of things, and theres plenty of entertainment. Think of it as a way to listen to a radio show of anything you want, there's plenty of linux talk shows, music, games, random talk, heck even a 15 year old. the range is awesome. Also because you download it when you want to, you can listen to it when you want to. iphitus

iphitus
Yeah, I was a bit out of the loop for the last week of podcasts but.... Adam Curry and Dave Winer are the two creators of podcasting. Both have their own casts. In the last few weeks Adam became an avid listener of Madge Weinstein, finding it funny and entertaining - without realising, Madge wasnt really Madge. And nobody knew either, there wasnt really any reason to believe otherwise. So he's pretty annoyed :) In other news, my podcasting aggregator, pycast is nearly ready to have it's first release. You'll get to use it by the end of the month :D iphitus
