ezroller Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 changing that "" to a "/" worked for me. I'm up and running! thanks for doing the leg work bvc!!! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest joehill Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 nice goin bvc. i still get an error "no modules loaded", but that just means I gotta tell fluxspace what I want it to do, no? cheers! p.s. Waimea is really pretty, but I think the functionality of fluxbox is still better, and this fluxspace will take it right over the top. different dockapps on each workspace?! wow...if only I could change workspaces in fluxbox like in waimea (just a flick of the wrist...) bvc Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 Correct! Go to ~/.fluxbox/fluxspace.xml and change "no" to "yes" for the modules you want to load.
<fluxspace> <!-- Painter module - Different wallpaper for each workspace --> <painter enable="yes"> <wallpaper workspace="0" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/2000PorscheCarreraGT.jpg"/> <wallpaper workspace="1" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/2000acCobra212SC.jpg"/> <wallpaper workspace="2" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/911.jpg"/> <wallpaper workspace="3" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/CMR5.jpg"/> <wallpaper workspace="4" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/viperback.jpg"/> <wallpaper workspace="5" image="~/.fluxbox/backgrounds/formulaTrans.jpg"/> </painter>
This is another email reply from Steve. From bvc, on Sat, Jan 11, 2003 at 12:03:55AM -0600:> Sorry to bother you again!!! It's great! I've read the doc and searched with > google advanced....am I right to say that as of now, there's no way to tell > Esetroot (right?) -f -s -t ect...? ---end quoted text--- Glad you like it. :-) Google won't be much help yet. You're just one of a few early adopters (that I know about). It isn't running Esetroot itself. It's directly calling a library I built using Esetroot source code. There are options in the library to support a background color, scaling, centering, fitting and mirroring. I just didn't make them into configuration options. This will be so easy to do, it should be in the next version. Thanks for reminding me. :) Cheers, Steve I see in the doc Module: painter =============== Displays wallpaper on each workspace. Uses the Enlightenment code so that most image formats are supported and pseudo-transparent terminals display correctly. Option: wallpaper ----------------- One wallpaper option element should be provided for each workspace. Attribute: workspace -------------------- A number from 0 to n selecting the workspace to receive the wallpaper. Attribute: image ---------------- The path to the image displayed as the wallpaper. '~' expansion is performed to substitute the full path to the user home directory. This attribute is required. Attribute: bgcolor ------------------ The optional name of a background color using standard X color names or RGB values. You can use a tool like xcolors to display the named colors. Standard RGB values are also excepted, e.g. "RGB:FF/00/00" for bright red. See X documentation for more information. Attribute: scale ---------------- If "yes" stretches the image to the full screen size. Can alter the aspect ratio. Attribute: center ----------------- If "yes" centers the image on the screen, rather than tiling it. Attribute: fit ---------------- If "yes" fits the image to the screen without changing the aspect ratio. Attribute: mirror ----------------- If "yes" flips some tiles to show mirror image. But I haven't figured this out yet and Steve talks like it still needs to be implemented. ????? One thig about this .xml file, is that if you have one little error....nothing works. bvc Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 If anyone is sending me pm's.....I have received 2 emails saying I have pm's, but when I come here to get them they're not there. The message at the top says I have one, but I can't get them in galeon or opera. I 'll contact the admins, but in the meantime, just post here that you want the file or you want to contact me and I'll email you. I can see your email, as a Mod. Sorry for the inconvenience. You shouldn't need the file...just change the to / in the idesk section. I'll send it though if you want it. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Cannonfodder Posted January 11, 2003 Report Share Posted January 11, 2003 sometimes that will happen when someone sends you a pm and then goes to their outbox and delete's the pm. Did someone change their mind? Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
