Mail server

Recommended Posts

OK one thing I keep messing up is a mail server....

Ive screwed it up so many times now I have a mental block...

I used to have my own mail server running under SME-server and the world was good. Then I moved my DNS/NFS/WEB/DHCP ... all onto a more powerful PC.. (this was on a PII-266)...

I have tried, tried again and fluncked... I just want to setup a mail server to send and receive mail for my own domain (well dnsdns) ...

Ive now got exim4 sending mail from command line... (using sendmail alias) but I still can't even check the account via kmail....

Im pulling my hair out.... this shouldn't be so hard....

anyone got a step by step real idiots guide?

I feel so stupid .... :help:

These might help:

Configure exim4 to deliver email to a user's Maildir folder in their home directory.
