burak
my first linux was mandrake and then i changed my linux to suse .However when mandrake 10.1 community was relesead i installed mandrake again. As you know suse has yast which is most powerful insatallation system among other linuxes.I have some question about mandrake and urpmi 1) i have 10.1 community as you know in community edition there is no acrobat reader and nvidia installer.how can install reader and nvidia drivers ? (installing from nvidia site is hard for me) is there any chance to install with addmedia .urpmi ? 2) if you have suse , you can install kde 3.3 and gnome by helping yast or apt with online update . can i do same thing in mandrake ? or how can i do in mandrake? 3) ican i use apt for mandrake? or is there any apt4rpm dist. for mandrake? thanx for everyone who answers these questions.... Gowator
1) Unfortunately the nvidia is best just to download the .run file... 2)-3) Yep... urpmi will do the same thing and resolve dependancies etc like apt4rpm. See the FAQ on easyurpmi here...
kousik_s
Hi, I think KDE 3.3 is there on Disk #4. However, there are some issues on menudrake reported by other users http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/sh...ghlight=kde+3.3. Thanks.
