.themes is correct

.metacity was gnome-2.4 and my still work, I don't know...haven't tried

personally I thought .metacity for metacity....well, made sense? :lol: I don't know why they changed it. Then, I don't understand why stock icons have been broke since it's existence either :screwy:

argh. the Ghrome GTK and Sedation GTK themes are crashing my xmms and Eye of Gnome  :angry:

comment the following out of the gtkrc of both themes

style "Ghrome-treeview"  = "Ghrome-default"
{
 engine "pixmap"
 {
   # don't draw the focus around listitems
   image
   {
     function          = FOCUS
     file              = "transparent.png"
     border            = { 0, 0, 0, 0 }
     stretch           = TRUE
   }
 }
}

style "Ghrome-textview"  = "Ghrome-default"
{
 bg[NORMAL]            = "#f3f4f5"

 engine "pixmap"
 {
   # don't draw focus around textview
   image
   {
     function          = FOCUS
     file              = "transparent.png"
     border            = { 0, 0, 0, 0 }
     stretch           = TRUE
   }
 }
}

class "GtkTextView"        style "textview"

If you have evolution installed, the above will crash the calendar and exchange plugin. I believe Jip updated all of his themes after I found this in roberTO, Jip, and my themes. He did others.

Nominated screenie

One of my all time fav wallpapers

Custom gdesklet

And i found out the perfect way to change the GNOME menu icon

Gconf-editor > apps > panel > profiles > default > objects >

find the one with object-type of menu-object, and a tooltip of main menu, then turn on use_custom_icon, and put the icon path in custom_icon.

Then it changes :D no looging for icon files to replace!
