iphitus
For information on the sudoers file, try: man sudoers It is pretty technical though, you might be better off dealing with examples: http://www.courtesan.com/sudo/sample.sudoers http://www.linuxhelp.net/guides/sudo/sudo-print.php

jeanrev
the difficulty with Linux isn't the way it works but the way the tutorials are designed to start with a simple sudo example : just write : username ALL=ALL under the line where you find " root ALL=(ALL) ALL" and your user has the root's rights during 5 minutes (by default) find something simpler ? if this doesn't work then you know there is a fault somewhere it's a pity the "man:something" doesn't start with the simplest example you can find using the command a lot more people could have acces to linux and be happy with it Edited October 21, 2004 by jeanrev
