te-tsuo
Hi ! I need to add a keyboard shortcut to one of my new programs, so I think I need to add some lines in a file with keyboard shortcut for system programs. Maybe there is another way to do this? Kieth
For KDE, go to system - configuration - configure your desktop - system - KHotKeys. Hopefully that will do it for you. Kieth
te-tsuo
Yes it is true that there is KHotKeys. But there You can only turn on/off modify existed shortcuts not create a new one:-(
Kieth
I've never done it, but there is a button on the bottom that says "New Action". Wouldn't you be able to make a short cut with that? Kieth
te-tsuo
"New Action" button create only new action:-) it means that I can create new combination of keys for THIS program.I can not create a shortcut to my own program
LukeK
I recommend you take a look at other programs, such as xbindkeys. That'll take care of creating the shortcuts you're looking for.
