? on mandrakelive and seeing partitions

You should now be able to create mount points on the tree under /mnt, and then mount the partitions to those points. You will have to do this in every session, since the changes to the tree are not permanent.

 

There are numerous tools in linux. I use the console for some stuff and not eveerything, so I am not as versed in commands as I should be. I can't remember the tool I like to use for this, but it's not df. i'll have to look it up when I'm back in linux! :unsure:

so if i was booted to mandrakemove i would start a console and issue the command: mount /dev/hda6 /mnt/my_temp_root_partition and i should then see my / root partition in konqueror?

Does the /mnt/temp directory have to exist and can u create it under mandrakemove....
